Big Muddy Records is an indie label out of Mississippi. We sign and develop a small, deliberate roster of singer-songwriters and bands.

Melody Vault is the platform we built to run the label — and the platform we offer to the artists we work with. It is an artist marketing platform: audience identification, targeting, and marketing, in that order.

We are explicit about what we do and what we don't. Melody Vault is not a distributor. It does not manage royalties. It does not handle splits, sync placements, or PRO registration. The roster ships records elsewhere; Melody Vault is what we use to ship them well.

Big Muddy Records operates as a DBA under Measurably Better Things LLC, a Mississippi entity (formation in progress).
